The building near Bocconi University is part of an area renewal process that is giving it a completely new image. Within this context, the Tortato studio developed a redevelopment project capable of transforming the building’s appearance by opening an internal courtyard and covering it with a skin of glass and metal, culminating in a public space on the roof.

The intentions of the designer and the client are to create a structure that stands out from the surrounding buildings. The Design Development and the Construction Drawings, carried out by the Simplex Team, allowed the chosen image by the designer to remain unchanged while ensuring multidisciplinary coordination using the BIM Revit software.

The Team’s involvement in both structural and plant engineering design assistance, complementing the architectural design carried out for Studio Tortato, allowed from the outset a multidisciplinary coordination useful for the choice of design solutions and their refinement.

Our contribution was crucial in creating the quantity schedules, developed in collaboration with the appointed consultant, so as to use the RVT model as the source of information and quantities.
